Breath taking stay in Versailles to visit the Pala

Breath taking stay in Versailles to visit the Palace and a huge tick off the bucket list for me.
It lived up to all my expectations of overwhelming grandeur with gilding, artwork, fabric walls, passementerie trims, stonemasonry, carving, and a bit more gilding everywhere you look.
It’s amusing to think Louis XIV created such a masterpiece but had to step away from time to time to the Grand Trianon for a quieter life. Tough life!

We love seeing each piece of the design come together installed. This stunning circa 1880 overmantle mirror adds timeless elegance to our client’s Drawing room. By sourcing antiques like this, we not only preserve the past but also champion sustainable design. A perfect blend of history, character, and eco-conscious living.

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of working with @mikegarlickdesign who photographed our work at @berwick_house. A number of years in the making, scrolling through the before pictures it is astonishing to recall the transformation. Working closely with the clients to pick paint colours for this enormous hallway, in a Grade II* listed house, was a decision not to be taken lightly!
